Welcome back!.

After finishing on writing down and learning about what is a hyperbole? it was time to see us learn the next type of figurative language which was Alliteration.I think I found Alliteration very easy from the examples that I had read.

Examples of Alliteration!

1. Alice's aunt ate apples and acorns around August
2. Eric's eagle eats eggs,enjoying each episode of eating

Based on these examples,how would I define what alliteration!

My definitions-Repeating the frist letter like tough twister.

Classes definitions-The repetition of the same initial letter in a series of words.

There you have it.

I really enjoy doing this because how I kind of found it easy and also fun because of those examples which made me happy.

I think I find it chanllenging knowing that in alliteration it kind of does not have to be the same frist letters in a sentence.

For the middle block bloth classes are doing writing and for writing we are learning about figurative language and today we learnt about Hyperbole which is part of figurative language.

For writing we learnt about hyperbole and what it means to us then when we finish we come up with what he really means and see if it is the same to our ones.

Down below will have some types of hyperbole and the definitions that I think and also the definitions that actually means about hyperbole.

What is a Hyperbole:

1. I am so hungry I could eat a horse.
2. I had a ton of chores to do.
3. If I can't get a smartphone,I will die.
4. This car goes faster than the speed of light.
5. Our new house cost a bazillion dollars.
6. He's got tons of video games.
7. My mom is going to kill me.
8. He knows everything about math.
9. I have told you a million times no to do that.
10. That was the easiest test in the world.
11. It will only take me two seconds to get there.

Based on these examples,How would I define what a Hyperbole is?

My definitions-Hyperbole is when you are explaning how it will effect if you do this or that.

Classes definition-When you are over exaggerating-Stuff/things in your story or sentence.

There you have it.

I really enjoy doing this because how I got to learn what the real meaning of hyperbole and what types of hyperbole is.

What I found chanllenging to do is trying to find out if I was wrong or right because how all I could think about with the effect that happened on some of the examples that were given.

So today we learnt more about figurative language and today we learnt about onomatopoeia which was part of figurative language.I enjoy onomatopoeia because how I get to learn the meaning of onomatopoeia.Onomatopoeia is something that I am not kind of good at because how in writing I don't put a lot of onomatopoeia but hopefully throughout the year I could.There were two onomatopoeia definitions and half of the class and to pick  it and write it down on our paper and down below will have the definition that I chose

Based on the examples,how would you define what a onomatopoeia is?

My Definition-Onomatopoeia is words that make sound effects.

Half of the classes Definition-Using sound effects in your story to create meaning or to describe something that happened.

There you have it.

I really enjoy learning about onomatopoeia more than I did before.

I think I found it chanllenging on being sure if my answer was right or wrong but I did not care after when I had checked to see if the answer was familiar to what the class had got.

Welcome back.

After learning about Metaphor is was time to learn about similes.

Similes is one of the things in a figurative language.

Simile was one of the things in writing that I like to do because how for similes you use the words like and as in a sentence like The sky was as blue like the water.

Down below will have examples of similes and also my definition and the classes definition.

Examples

• As American as apple pie
• As big as an elephant
• As black as coal
• As blind as a bat
• As bold as brass
• As boring as watching paint dry
• As brave as a lion
• As bright as a button.

Based on these examples,how would you define what a simile is?

My Definition-Simile is when you use as and like to describe or compare something or someone.

Class definition-When you use the words as and like to describe or compare two different things.

I really enjoy doing similes because how I got to have fun and come up with some different types of similes.

I did not find anything chanllenging like it was easy for me to do this plus I really enjoyed learning if I was correct or not.

Writing With Ms Komor!

Today this morning Ms Komor asked 6 people to come with her and those 6 people were

1. Me
2. Ana
3. Faith
4. Helen
5. Matthew
6. Siale

What we had to do was bring a pencil and go down to the board room where Ms Kelly and this other person would come in and see how we do in writing.What we did was talk about writing and what we had to do was get into pairs.

The groups are:

1. Faith & Helen
2. Ana & Me
3. Matthew & Siale

First we had to talk to each other about what we enjoyed about writing and what I had enjoyed was having to be creative with your stories.Then when we finished that we had to write it down in a piece of paper that stick it up on the board.When we all finished that we had to talk about what we found chanllenging with writing and what I had found chanllenging with writing is trying to spell words that are difficult for me to spell.When we finished that we me and Ana had to read a story about good friends and what we had to do is find words that connect to the title which was good friends. Here are 3 words that I have remembered that we had circled:

1. Inspiration because how sometimes friends can inspire you to do more or try harder.
2. Promise because how friends promise each other and never give up on each other.
3. Helping because how friends help each other when they are suck just like how my friends helped me.

I really enjoyed doing this because how I got to write down what I enjoyed and what I had find chanllenging with writing then I had shared it out with my buddy Ana.

It is now time for room 9 to be starting there scips.We only have tomorrow because how tomorrow we have our last time at te tuhi and we are doing out skit and our group have chosen to do the story called the three little pigs.I really enjoy doing this because how I get to learn on my acting skills by doing this will my group.What I find challenging is trying to be confidence in presenting but I know me and my group are going to do fine.

How to be a good Citizen?

This week we had to do a explanation writing but this one was a fake one.It was just on to get us started for our explanation writing.Our topic was how to be a good citizen.I did not know what citizen meant but when I had researched it I had known more better about what the question ment.Here today I am going to show you my explanation writing based on the question how to be a good citizen.I really enjoyed this because how I got to get a little bit started and know information about what am I going to put on my explanation writing when we do our test.Here is my writing.Feel free to take a look but don't forget to COMMENT below!

How can I be a good citizen?

Introduction-Here today I am going to name reason’s about how can be a good citizen in this country which is New Zealand.I am going to name 3 ways of how I can be a good citizen in New Zealand which is where we are living in right now.I think I am a good citizen by respect others with no bad language.My second reason is because how I can be kindful to people when they need help in school.My last reason why I am a good citizen is being how I help people all around me.So here are some three reasons why I am a good citizen.

Respecting others-I am a good citizen because how I can respect others in the way that I want them to respect me back .I don’t like being disrespectful to people that's why respect is one the good reasons why I am a good citizen.In new Zealand nobody likes to be treated with disrespect like using your manners instead of your bad language which is swearing.This can affect in a good way because how they can be respectful back to you instead of just using your bad language and also instead of using bad manners.

I can also be a good citizen by using my manners around people.I can be a good citizen by using my manners around people because how it will be disrespectful to people.An example is when people are on the table and you're having a family dinner.You can’t lick your plate when it is finished because how you're being disrespectful and you are not using your manners in front of your guest.This can affect in a positive way because how you're using your manners and is not also being disrespectful.

My last reason on why I am a good citizen is because how I can be kindful to people by being kind and positive.It is good to be kindful and positive because how people can treat you the same way back and you can also be known to be as a person that uses manners.People love it when people is being kindful to them because how they are respecting each other in a positive and kindful way like an example is when people are talking they don’t disrespect others or don’t use bad language.They be kind to one another by being kindful and controlling their words to not be disrespectful.It can affect them and you in a good way because how you can make friends with each other can be buddy’s.

This morning we had to take our writing test.It was exciting for me to write down stories or write down reasons about what being a friends means to me.I was really happy that our topic was based on friends because how I got to talk about what being a friend means.I love hanging out with my friends because they make me happy and feel good when I feel sad and low.What I find challenging in my writing was putting down reason's on what being a friends means to me.Here today I am going to show you my writing that I have written down.Here is my writing.Feel free to take a look but don't forget to COMMENT below!

Good Friends!

Here today I am going to explain some reason’s to what being a good friend mean.To me I think I am a very good friend to my best friends.I enjoy hanging with them and looking after them I also enjoy sitting with them in class and talking and helping with me when help is needed.My friends are good and amazing so read closely to what I have written down about what being a good friends means to me since I have amazing friends who will always be there till the end of our school years which is next year.

Being a good friend means to me is looking after one another.I think my friends are the best friends I have hanged out with because how when I feel sad I just have friends with me to look after me and make me feel good like having my friends make me happy again instead of having a sad emotion.An example is when I get hurt my friends like Akih,Kensington and Alone can come and help me by feeling good and making me happy again which will make me feel happy to by getting back up and being happy again.This is a happy effect for me because I know I can count on my friends when I feel sad and depressed.

Another reason about being a good friend means to me is having no bad fights with each other.Did you know that me and my friends sometimes fight but in a funny way.We always laugh and smile at each other when funny jokes are coming our way and we also play and talk which is kind of what we do.An example of me and my friends is when one of friends are VS each other than it comes to a competition which makes me have to be in the middle.My friends start drama but they finish it together by helping each other become friends again.This will affect us in a good way because how we are communicating with each other and having no fights that have been causes.

My third reason to being a good friends means communicating with each other.My friends and I communicate with each other to have a good bond by having positive things come our way instead of just being negative to each other.Me and my friends get along with each other like talking about how great we are when we hanging out or play with each other.An example is when we are playing games me and my friends can just communicate each other and cheer for one another by say things like “LET’S GO”, “YOU GOT THIS” and other positive words that came make them feel good instead of just like not giving up ,what they should be doing is  just trying there best even tho if they lost or came last.This will affect them by making them do their best and it can also affect them by doing what they can do instead of just not trying.

So there you have it.You have the three reasons to what being a good friend means to me.My friends are the friends that I sticked with since last year and from the beginning of this year since we were all new to being a year 7.Friends are the people who are trustworthy,positive,good,helpful and grateful.People like me who have friends that are amazing and good are people who are the best friends and is kind of like siblings to me like when they look after me or when I look after them.This can always affect me because how I know I have amazing good friends who I can count on when I need help or when I feel low instead of high.
