Monita and Aletheia Samoan Language Week - Room 9

Today I have finished of my samoan language week task that me and my buddy Monita finished.We got to research some stuffs that we did not know.Here is a google slide that me and my buddy did for Samoan language week.WALT:We are learning to research things about Samoa.

Today with my group which is Monita and Kensington.Me and Monita have researched about Glucose.Me and Monita put our fact about it.Here is my fact about it.WALT:We are learning to research about facts that we don't know about.

Today I have finished off with our slides about watching part 1 of the sugar film that room 9 and 10 watched.Today I have researched about What happens when fructose enters our body?.I will tell you my opinion about what happens when the fructose entries into our bodies.It will have both me and Monita's opinion.It will be kind of the same but different.

WALT:We are learning to put in our own opinion about what we had to research about the words on the slide.

Maths

Today for maths I have finished one slide that I have done by myself.It was about boys and girls like how many people are at this football tournament and I got my answer and my explanation about how I got it.Here is a screenshot I took.

What I did to get the answer 15 for my problem that was a example for other problems like this.!

Plant foods and Foods from Animals

After I am finished working with Akih and Lusia I began to help Monita and Her buddy Leeane.I will show you our google drawing that our group had made and participated in.Me and Monita both helped Leeane by giving her some hits from around the room.Here it will have some images of fruits and vegetables and foods that are from animals.here is a google drawing of ours.Hope you enjoyed!

Alethia , Akih & Lusia - Different Kinds Food

Today in the afternoon we went to our buddy reading.It is when we go to our buddy class to work with them on inquiry.Here I have worked with Akih and Lusia since my buddy Joy moved a class I have gone arounding asking people for help so I helped them.in this google drawing I have fruits and vegetables that are in plant food that means food that grow from the ground and on the other side it will have foods that we eat from animals.Hope you enjoy

What is fructose?

Today I have finished researching about fructose for our slide about this film that we watch with room 10.It was about sugar. It was made in Australia that had a guy experiencing sugar.I am going to show you what is fructose.I have researched about it and write my answers.Here is my fact about it.

What is fructose?

Aletheia-It is a  sugar of a hexose class that had been found especially in honey and fruit.

What is refined sugar?

Today In our class we had a task to do that we had to finished because how we were watching a film that was made in Australia with a man called Damon.It is when he experience eating sugar since he hasten eaten sugar after he met his wife.Here is a fact that I researched and put it into my own words.

What is refined sugar?

It is a large number of foods that we eat contain that  refined sugar and is which could pose as a large and health problem as they dietary fats and cholesterol.

MATHS

Today I have finished 2 things from my maths.I have use ratios to do my maths work.I have figured it out by myself.There will be 2 screenshot one that is the questions and the other one will have the one that I have answered on because how I had no space.It was hard because I had a lot of thinking.IALT:I am learning to figure out our problem by using ratios.

Honesty

Today I have write about Honesty.What it means , why is it importan and a example of showing honesty.Sometimes Honesty can be kind of hard to tell but one thing I learnt about honesty it can set you free.I learnt something from the bible John 8:32 "AND YOU WILL KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE".For this term I have found honesty challenging because how it can be hard trying to tell the truth even if it was somebody that you know and was very special. Here I have 4 of my favourite bible verses that have the meaning of honesty and my work that I did.

WALT:we are learning to write what honesty means why is it importan and a example of it.

Meanings

Today I am finishing off reading a article for our reading.We had to read it and then search the meanings of the words we are not sure about.Here is a google Slide that shows the meanings to these words.!WALT:We are learning to search up words we are not sure about and know them.

Soccer

Today I am writing about my day at soccer on Wednesday the 24th of May.It was a great day I was in team A witch was the frist group to play before our other group.Here is a reflection about my great day at soccer with my friends.WALT:We are learning to reflect on our day about Soccer.

On Wednesday the 24th of May our school went to a soccer tournament that we had been training for.We got there by getting into teachers cars 4 kids at the time.The teachers that dropped us off were Mrs Thompson,Mrs Aireen and Mrs Fepuleai.When we got there we got to have a warm up game to get ready.After we finished playing our game at big horn will blow.

That means it's game time.Our team went first  so we vs PBS (Panmure Bridge School).It was fun but we got a tied 1:1.

After we finished that team B went to their game.After they came back they felt lost and angry after they said they lost.

When we finished our game Team A had 2 ties 3 games and 1 lost and team B had no wins,no ties and felt bad for the day.
After in the last games our teams got mixed up.Group A went against saliva park and team B went against PBS (Panmure Bridge School).

Team A lost and Team B won.It was a great game everyone stilled felt good.Yr 5 and 6 were great and said they had the funnest day at soccer since it was a great day and very hot .

Aletheia and Monita-PINK SHIRT DAY

Today I am finishing off a task on pink shirt day.Pink shirt day is a day to celebrate those kids or people who have been bullied like cyberbullying,online bullying or other.Here today I have a task that I have finished off and worked with Monita on.Each of us had a turn of each slide.In this slide of mine I have things that relate to bullying.WALT:We are learning to search up facts about PINK SHIRT DAY!

Technology

Today for technology we had switch our groups.My group for this term was Hard Metals.My teacher was Mr Gundy.Mr Gundy was a talented old man that told us what to do and what not to do.Here is a reflection about my first day with the hard metal group.WALT:We are learning to know what to do when you are doing Hard Metals

Today for technology we got to switch groups.My group for this term was hard metals.We got to meet our teacher.Our teacher is Mr Grundy.He is a talent old man that can draw and make things like cars,trucks and other things.Mr Gundy loves to take things to another level like build something he can believe to do.

Hard metals is when you build something with wood,metal or other things.When we walked in the room Mr Gundy told us that we had to be 10 year older than we are know.He said that because how we are going to use tools that only big people use.

When we walked in we got to sit in tables then he told us what we need to do to make things out of woods since we are using wood.It looked easy but then when he told us it wasn't because it takes time to make something with wood.

We learnt that the tools we use can hurt us bad that it can make a cut.When we finished talking about that we got to draw things we wanted to build.Mr Gundy wanted us to think out of the box to go for something else since people built things like cars and tucrks.One thing we had to do with our designs was described to Mr gundy what can we use this for.

Technology-Aletheia and Lizzy

Today I have finished my reflection about technology.We had cooking class and for cooking class we made blueberry cupcake.WALT:We are learning to bake blueberry for technology.

Blueberry cupcakes

Today in our last day of cooking we made blueberry cupcakes.First we had to get our blow and get a scale so we had to put in 100 kg of butter in the blow.

After we finished that we get a cup of sugar into the blow and then get another blow that is small and put 2 half cups of flour.

Then when we finished that we get o another blow with the butter and sugar.We had to get one cup of milk and one egg then after that we mix it until it's soft and smooth.

When we finished that we get another blow with our flour in.We get the flour and tip it into our another blow with our our big blow.

After that we mix it together.After when it’s soft,we get our cupcake tins and put cupcake holders in there.We get on soop and give 1 scoop to each one then when it's finsh we put it into the oven for 15 minutes.

Then when it's finished it will look like this.

Maths

Today In Maths I have finished off with one side of my maths.My silde that I have finished off had 10 questions for me to answer.I had to answer the question it was time tables and was for Maths.here I have a screenshot of my time tables that I have completed.

KIWISPORT

Today in kiwisports t we have learnt to pass the ball to our partner.Our coaches was Hyrum and peter.I have learnt how to do a chest pass when you put the ball in your chess and then passed it to your partner and then your partner will have a diamond to catch the ball.

After that we learnt what a overhead pass was.it is when you put the ball over your head.Then you throw it up so your partner can get it

We also learnt how to do a bounce pass.A bounce pass is when you bounce the ball to your partner like your doing a V after that we played a game called Miami drills that was a new game for us.it when you get 5 people to stand in zig zags line and half of the other team stands in a line.So what one person comes with a ball and passes it to the 5 people on the line, once you finished that you do a little lay up to the hop and you have to soccer if 3 if you want to beat the other team.

Then we played a another game of ball tag.It is when you get into 2 teams.One team has to tries to tag the other team members without moving your feet.So your feet has to be still on the ground like netball.When you finished it the other team's turn.When you finished that you count from each teams how many people they got out and see who got the most.Whoever's got the most they win the game

Chocolate balls with coconut and oreo

For technology we had to use a blow to get some oreos to put in a blow and then a smiley milk that we had to put in the blow and then mix it with a big spoon.Then when we finished mixing it together we get some of it and turn it into a circle after we finished that we put it inside the fridge to kind of cool it down.Then after that we take it out of the fridge and put some hot chocolate then we had finished the day with eating the hummy and good food that we made.
