Today in SSR I have been reading about the Iconic fountain breaks down in mount wellington.In wellington a fountain has been broken down.They only have 2 mouths to fix it.It will be 75,000 dollars to install back to normal

Maths-Kensington and Aletheia

Today In math I have been finishing off my Stem and Leaf work.In this presentation  it shows that I have use a stem and leaf graph to show the problem.I have worked with my buddy Kensington.What I found challenging was getting to know how a stem and leaf graph looks like.What I found enjoying was having my buddy help me to know more better about the stem and leaf.

Aletheia and Kensington-Reuse and attribute an image

Today I have been finishing off my Reuse and attribute an image.What I have to do was get images to see the  the name,License and Authors name of how took the picture.WALT:We are learning to find images with the author's name,License and Name of the picture.

What I found challenging was looking for the details of the pictures.

What I found enjoying was looking for beautiful pictures online with there name,license and Authors name that took the photo.
What I need to do next time is to find the write picture that has a name,licence and authors name because some don't have any of those.

Top Tips

Today we are finishing a poster that we got to write the top tips from our cybersmarts.One fact that I learnt was to making sure you title can be seen by a distance away.What I found challenging was putting things so people can know what to do.What I found enjoyed was making it all fancy and pretty.

Aletheia & Rosemary Digital Dig 2017

Today me and my buddy Rosemary had finished off our Digital Dig presentation which we had to do.What we had to do is name all shortcuts on a device to make it more easy.
What I found challenging was trying to find out the shortcuts to see how to take a screenshot on competitors since it was different to a chromebook.
What I enjoyed was learning how to do shortcuts.

Kia Manawanui Reflection on our Whanaungatanga Experience

Introduction:

On this trip I felt that we had connect with others on our trip.What we did was building relationships with mix girls and mix boys.

Polyfest trip!

Year 7 and 8 whanaungatanga experience on term 1 week 7 had us going to our first polyfest as a year 7 and 8 syndicate to see cultures perform in their own way.We did this so we can build relationships with others and communicate and participate with others to get better to know other people better

.We started off by getting into our groups with our adults.The adult that we had was Miss Kyla which was very cool and fun to go and explore.Then we went off to go and eat some food that people had being selling from their own shops at polyfest.When we were eating, some people went off to go buy them some food from the shops that was there.

At polyfest we saw different kinds of shops selling food from their own culture and also different kinds of schools,some from other areas from us and some near our school areas.Then we went off to explore how people went.We first went off to see 2 performances from the kapa haka groups which was really fun for Miss Kyla to come and see her culture performed.Next up was us seeing things that people from all across the world make.After that our adult Miss Kyla got to go and buy some crafts from the crafts shop which was selling things they make from their country.After finishing they let us to watch people have a dance competition.

When they were having a dance competition,we just waited until our bus arrived for us to go back to school and get ready for our school sleepover.

While the bus was still coming ,a lady came and gave us a Polyfest bag with a few things in it n they were a pair of glasses,Polyfest tattoos,balloons and a poster of cultures,there are some more but I can’t remember them.

When she gave the bags I was sort of impressed but not as much and thankful for what they have given us.

The bus arrived and every school that were there was ready to go back to school,when we walking to the bus I almost fell because my legs were sore and tired from walking all around it was tiring to walk around for 5 hours .

While we were going back to school,Me and Aletheia saw a man get arrested  by the police and also seeing a lot of things around the area.

While we were still in the bus some people were sleeping and I was too while Wallymei was poking me in the head which was annoying.

Then we had to go home to have a shower and get our stuff ready for the night and I was really happy to do this.

I felt happy to sleep over and get to have a day and night with our friends and build relationships to others you don’t really hang out with including everyone.

What I found challenging was Doing a chant with our groups because we were so into doing our skit and not doing our chants.

Today we are doing food tec.In this google drawing I am going to tell what I did with Food tec at Tamaki College.

My experience with this was great since we got to get into groups.What was really hard was trying to cook in a frying pan which was really hot.What was really cool was working with my parnter Lizzy.

Today I am doing Maths to finishing off my work which was managing self.In this day I have worked with my buddy Kensington.We worked together to come up with the answer. My thoughts about this was very hard since I didn't know some divided by and times table.

5kg of coins removed from turtle

Today I am going to reflect to you what I have read for SSR.What I have read is about  a turtle that got 5 kg of coins removed from him.Link to article.WALT:We are learning to read an article then reflect.

In Thai Vets came a turtle that had 5 kg coins got removed from a turtle since it shell had been almost broken.After they had felt his sell, the turtle had eaten 900 coins after they were thrown into her enclosure for good luck.The coins and other objects was removed from the turtle named Omsin which had mean piggy bank in Thai.The coins had weighed about 5kg with the turtle that weighed 59 kg.The vets had said that they believed the 7 hour-long operation had the world’s first such surgery.After that surgery he had been going better and well from the day he almost died because of the coins that was removed from the sad turtle that lived at conservation centre in Sriracha, Chonburi, east of the Thai capital of Bangkok.

Today in Room9 we are having our reading buddies from Room 3 come over and finish off.We having been finishing our number one task with our buddies which was to research some facts about eels. 1 fact that I can tell you is that they live in shallow water, they can eat sea creatures which is very hard.

Today In room 9 I am doing my 2 easy nines problem which is to complete my 9 times table to help me complete my equations which helps me learn my nine times table.Here is a photo that show you what I have done.Today I will be doing 6 times table to answer from the easy Nines.

Maths-Islander Maths:Easy Nines

On our group the Islander Maths we had to do the easy nines.Our first task was to complete the copy of the nines table which looks like this!

What you have to do is answer the 6x9= and then times it by 10 after that you have to -(take away) 10 and then times it by three then you have your answer so.

6x9=54
54x10=540
540-10=530
530 x 3=1590
There you have you answer=1590

Pollution Facts

Today in Room 9 I am doing my pollution facts on using Uni-Structural,Multi-Structural and Relational to use in my Pollution facts.In this Google Slides it will show you some facts to use.Number one is Uni Structural witch is using I relevant idea,Number two is multi structural having lots idea's connect,Number three relational linking big ideas into a big pictures.In the end it will show you 1 fact about pollution is U.S.

Today for Writing in Room 9 we are reading an article that you can find from NZ Herald,Waatea News and Kiwi Kids news to find information on Pollutions and on Kiwi Kids News I found Information about the Ganges river that started pollution in the northern side of India of Bangladesh.What I have found challenging was trying to find information in one of the sites that we had to look for.What was really enjoying was knowing how the pollution got there since the Ganges river use to be so beautiful.WALT:We are learning to find information on 3 websites about pollutions.
