My Very best brithday

This is my planing sheet for our recount writing about my very best birthday. We use the TREE model to help us with writing our recounts and to help us with the structure of our writing when we craft up our drafts. Hope you like  it. Thank you:)

Title	What is my title? Does it catch the attention of my audience? My very best birthday
Reveal	Reveal your recount! Who was there? My family Where were you? It was at house. When was it? Sunday 27th June 2015. Why did it happen? Because I was turning 9 and because I was going to be a senior student at Tamaki Primary School. How did you get there? Because it was at my house I didn't have to travel. My friends and family came by car.
Events	Tell us your story What happened? I had to buy a birthday cake that was all chocolate SENSES   LANGUAGE FEATURES Hear People singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY Telling me to blow the candles. See People eating my cake People saying happy birthday to me. My brother making a mess with the cake all over the living room. Kids playing. Feel I could feel the cake in my mouth Me cutting the cake with the knife. I felt happy and excited. Taste The yummy  cake The chocolate The icing. Smell The cold ice cream The yummy cake. All the food.
Ending	Don’t leave us hanging! How does this story end? At the end of the day we give some cake to my grandpa and grandma and my aunt's and uncle’s then we went to sleep.
